DAY ONE

Panama City – Arrival

Upon arrival, you will be met by an Arians Tours representative and transferred to the Hotel.  If you arrive in the morning, early check-in can be requested, however, cannot be guaranteed.  If arrival is early in the morning, you can choose some tour options available.

Included:Transfer from PTY International airport to your hotel, three nights accommodation at Best Western Panama Zen Hotel or similar on a bed and breakfast basis. Included are all activities as specified in your itinerary. 

Exclude: Lunch and dinner as well as any additional purchases or services utilized at the hotel or optional tours.

DAY two

Panama Viejo – Reprosa and Old Town

Visit the ruins of the old city Panama Viejo, sacked by Henry Morgan in 1671 and declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Panama Viejo was founded in 1519 as the first Spanish city on the American Pacific. The town later became an important commercial center from where large amounts of gold were transported to the Caribbean coast to be shipped to Europe

Visit Reprosa Jewelry factory where the reproduction of pre – Colombian pieces as well as original, are created using the lost wax casting method. The jewels are inspired by nature, folkloric traditions, and indigenous ethnic groups that represent the biological and cultural diversity of Panama.The Reprosa factory is a leader in the conservation and promotion of the history, cultural traditions, ecological beauty, and ethnic diversity of Panama. 

Visit the ruins of Casco Viejo (Old Town) In 1673, two years after the destruction of the first city, this second city was built in a more protected location. This colonial city was also declared World Heritage Site due to its many historic features, such as the golden altar, the French Plaza, “Las Bovedas” dungeons, Plaza Bolivar, Parque Central, and the old churches, cobbled streets, and wide balconies.

 Expert tips: For dinner, we recommend heading to Old Town and try many of the fantastic restaurants the area has to offer.

DAY Three

Metropolitan Park Walk

Visit Metropolitan Park. La Cieneguita Trailis our first trail which, was established in 1987, it starts in the security station at the beginning of the Mono Titi Road and it extends through the forest. Is a lineal trail that presents an extension of 1.1 km, and an approximate altitude of 102 meters above sea level.  “Sendero La Cieneguita”, its name is due to the marsh in the entrance of the trail that is formed during the rainy season. Approximate duration to hike this trail is of two hours.  We recommend ¡Silence! When walking this trail, have your ears and eyes open and be aware of any movement on the canopy of the trees to enjoy the fauna that lives in the Metropolitan Natural Park.

Expert tips: We suggest having lunch at a local restaurant in Colon and trying the Afro – Antillean cuisine.

DAY Four

Bio museum – Transfer Out

Visit the BioMuseo, design by Frank Gehry, a world-renowned Canadian architect and his only work in Latin America, a gift for Panama as his wife is Panamanian. In its galleries is told the story of the origin of the Isthmus of Panama more than 3 million years ago and how the emergence united continents and divided the seas, changing the life of the Earth and its massive impact on biodiversity. The Biomuseo is unique of its kind in the whole region and the first in the world that tells the history of the planet’s biodiversity. 

Transfer to PTY International Airport. End of Itinerary.
