DESCRIPTION

Departure from the pier in Gamboa (7:00am) by boat towards a floating lodge on Gatun Lake to prepare for our fishing tour. Once prepared we immediately board the boat again to take advantage of the early morning during which the fish are especially hungry. The most common fish in the lake are Peacock bass and Oscars, though with good technique and bait you may also catch Snook and Tarpon. By Midday we will be returning to the houseboat for a lunch consisting of the catch of the day. After lunch feel free to relax or have a refreshing swim in the lake. On our way back to Gamboa we stop at Monkey Island to marvel at the local ape population. Return to the pier in Gamboa at 1:30 p.m.
